Year of foundation: 1863 – Medical Faculty of Graz University.
Since 2004 – independent university.
Graz Medical University trains students in three main programs:
– General Medicine
– Dentistry
– Care of patients
To enter this university, you need to take a test:
1) cognitive ability test (number sequence test, long-term memory test, mathematical tasks and figure assembly)
2) tests in the field of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics at the level of school graduates.
Please note:
The National Council (the Lower Chamber of Parliament of Austria) introduced a quota regulation for the distribution of places in medical universities. Thus, 75% of seats are provided to Austrian citizens, 20% – to EU citizens, and, accordingly, 5% – to non-EU citizens.
The tuition fee is €745 per semester.
In addition, preparation for the test should begin in advance. You can also take preparatory courses at the Graz language school.
