How can students find part-time work in Slovakia?

Student life involves not only lectures and exams but also the need for spending money. Many students seek work in their first years while trying to protect their study time. Brigády — temporary student jobs — can help.

What are brigády?

These jobs allow students to work up to twenty hours weekly, or less by agreement with their supervisor. They also offer opportunities to improve language skills, develop useful habits and take responsibility.

Popular options include service work — waiting tables, barista work, retail or cleaning cafés and hotels; one-off tasks — dog walking, event assistance and handing out flyers, cleaning offices or flats; and warehouses or manufacturing — packing goods, sorting parcels and helping on production lines.
