The war in Ukraine is now in its second month…
Until recently, the horrors we now see in real life could only have appeared in a terrifying film. The bloody “Russian world” has brought pain, terror, fear, tears, death, despair, waiting for sirens and a struggle for survival to our country and every home.
It is difficult for people abroad even to imagine what is happening in Ukraine. Russian Grad rockets launched from Belarus are destroying houses, residential neighbourhoods and entire cities, injuring and killing thousands of civilians, even children.
Our lives have turned into darkness and waiting for the sound of sirens.
Most people in Ukraine now live in basements, underground stations and underpasses: we have almost no bomb shelters, because we did not expect a war.
But we Ukrainians are a unique nation! We are fighting. Every person, whether in the Armed Forces, territorial defence or their own home, is protecting Ukraine and contributing to our victory in this senseless, unexpected war.
Our company continues to work and process our applicants’ admission documents as planned. Every member of our team is also volunteering.
With the help of our Slovak volunteer colleagues, we have arranged the departure of 6 children from different Ukrainian cities — Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv and Poltava — to Slovakia, providing them with free accommodation, meals and education in this wonderful country.
We are ready to provide free information and advice on leaving to any Ukrainians wishing to leave the war zone in Ukraine.
We are proud to be Ukrainians!
