Summer Czech-language school in Czechia
Published · 25.04.2017

Combine study and travel
The programme combines intensive classes with time to travel. Students stay in a comfortable hotel near the school, with breakfast included. Rener Education provides six hours of language classes daily with experienced teachers, leaving time for trips, cinema, bowling and swimming afterwards.
Engaging language learning
Programmes take participants’ age and level into account. Relaxed, engaging methods help students reach their desired proficiency quickly.
A language school differs from a children’s camp: students have more freedom to choose leisure activities. Classes adapt to their goals and existing skills. For adults, handling daily situations in another language and feeling confident in conversation matters more than repeating the alphabet and colours.
Active leisure and excursions
České Budějovice, the programme’s location, is a sporty city. An eleven-kilometre cycling and running path begins here, following the river through attractive scenery and past a locally well-known herd of horses.
There are many sports clubs, fitness classes and yoga sessions, plus a large outdoor pool with slides for hot days.
Optional excursions to almost anywhere in Europe can be arranged for an extra fee around the class schedule. Ask the school office for details.
Accommodation and meals
Accommodation is in the historic centre near the classrooms. Substantial buffet breakfasts are included. Students arrange other meals and snacks themselves; the article quotes EUR 2–4 for a full café lunch.
Minimum age: 16. Dates: 1–15 August 2017; 15–29 August 2017 is available only as an additional fortnight following the first period. Fee: EUR 480.
Included: fourteen hotel nights, buffet breakfasts, Czech classes Monday–Friday for six hours daily, and a meeting and autograph session with a well-known author of Czech textbooks for foreigners.
Excluded: travel to and from the school, meals other than breakfast, pocket money, excursions and trips.
