Summer Chinese courses at Beijing Nong Ye Vocational Institute.
The OULU International Education Centre offers school and university students of different ages the chance to experience Chinese culture, learn Chinese, practise with native speakers and visit the capital.
Qualified native-speaking teachers teach in Chinese and English. Students take a placement test on the first day and join a beginner, elementary, intermediate or advanced programme. The emphasis is on conversation. Classes take place at Nong Ye Institute.
The four-week, 28-day course runs from 17 July to 13 August 2016. Classes begin on 18 July and end on 12 August 2016. Minimum age: 15. Classes run Monday–Friday, with weekends free. Tuition: USD 690.
The price includes the Standard Course — four weeks, 20 academic hours per week — an arrival test and a completion certificate. Accommodation, study materials estimated at USD 35, and meals are paid separately.
Students stay in triple rooms in the campus residence. Rooms have a shower, toilet, beds, bedside cabinets, wardrobes and air conditioning.
Accommodation costs USD 350 per person for 28 days, four weeks, in a triple room. An additional night costs USD 20. Meals are at the student’s expense; the institute has a canteen.
