Bohumil Bača Private School of Art and Design (Súkromná škola umeleckého priemyslu Bohumila Baču) in Bratislava combines classical artistic traditions and the latest technologies in a modern creative environment. Founded by renowned Slovak artist Bohumil Bača, the school is now developed by his son while retaining an individual approach to every student. It trains future designers, photographers, graphic artists, fashion designers, animators and multimedia creators. Programmes include secondary education with maturita and higher vocational study (Vyššie odborné štúdium), so graduates enter the market with a diploma and a strong portfolio. Cooperation with companies and galleries involves students in real projects, exhibitions and competitions, providing experience during their studies. 1. In 2010, the Design School became the first in Slovakia to offer higher vocational education ending in a final examination and the DiS. specialist diploma in the following fields:

Three-year higher education is intended for secondary graduates with complete general or vocational secondary education. It provides higher education and ends with a final examination. Each department’s curriculum focuses on vocational education and practical preparation at ISCED 5B level, the UNESCO International Standard Classification of Education.
