Use summer 2019 to learn Slovak
Published · 12.03.2019

Learning Slovak in Slovakia is a useful choice for 2019 applicants. Join an intensive course in Banská Bystrica from 1 to 28 August, combining native-speaker teaching with time in the Tatras.
Five academic hours of interactive classes daily include exploring the area, preparing projects, filming videos, taking quests and practising conversation. Classes take place at Matej Bel University’s Faculty of International Relations and Diplomacy and during hikes and trips.
Optional excursions may include Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava and Slovakia’s towns, castles and caves.
Fee: EUR 750. Included are 100 hours of Slovak with a native speaker, textbooks and handouts, an introduction to local facilities — shops, post offices, stations, pools, clubs, the university, cafés, restaurants and theatres — and two excursions involving mountains, a cave or river rafting. A discount is available when several members of one family participate.
