School of Mass Media and Information Communications

The school trains specialists in media and information technology. Key features:

• Training is offered in: information systems and services, mass media studies, marketing communications / advertising.
• General education subjects are combined with a strong practical focus: pupils work in media, create content and use studio equipment, guided by teachers with professional experience.
• An important part of study covers informatics, computer technology, graphics processing, media tools, library and information work, and information services.

Teaching follows modern information-society trends and European information practice.

2. In information systems and services: library and information work, computing, informatics and information technology, administration, basic economics, management, information policy, law and social communication.
3. Media studies covers media markets and production, including print, radio, television and online media. Students learn how media operate and acquire basic skills for working in and with media. They also gain essential knowledge of media psychology, ethics and law.

Admission requirements for 2025/2026:

Applicants take entrance tests in Slovak, mathematics and social studies for Mass Media Communications.
