About the course
Secondary School of Hotel Services and Trade in Banská Bystrica
The school has ancient traditions in the city. Banska Bystrica. The first data on the studies in this institution appeared back in 1818.
In 1986, the school was renamed the Secondary Professional School of Service and was included in the organizational unit of the restaurant sector of the region. Having become a secondary vocational school, it provided theoretical and practical training for students.
The school became a separate legal entity from January 1, 1991 as the founding organization. Within the framework of practical classes, professional training is carried out in their own workplaces: in a restaurant, a school hairdresser, in a model workshop.
Since September 1, 2001, the school has been reconstructed, teaching disciplines have been expanded, including since then and the hotel academy.
From September 1, 2012 the school became the secondary school of hotel service and trade, again expanding the range of their study areas.
